The Economic Development Commission recognizes the contributions of businesses, churches and schools in Lake Park. Our goal is to support mutual success and consistent communication to strengthen this valuable part of our community. Beginning as a committee of two in April 2006, Sandy Coughlin and Kendall Spence have presented five "Growing In Lake Park" workshops for Lake Park's own professional leaders since June 2006.

 

Encouraged by the initial success and by the addition of three leader volunteers on the committee, Village Council passed a resolution forming the EDC on December 12, 2006.  The Commission meets monthly, presents workshop invitations and a quarterly news notice for all the organization leaders, includes updates in The Lake Park Villager and lists up-to-date reference information on all 18 organizations.
